Aid! deceit open tube - metal caps at both ends. Tried a butter knife simply does non piece of work. Chain saw may exist adjacent. The anticipation is killing me - is this merely a roughshod joke by the seller from ebay?

CAREFULLY use a saw (or serrated knife if you don't have a saw) to cutting off the end of the tube. cut as close to the metallic cap equally possible so you don't damage the affiche.

OR a much better idea would be to wait for a seam going around the tube, probably with tape around information technology and open it at the seam. the tube should come apart into 2 parts without removing the end caps.

OR merely cut the tape on one stop of the tube and remove the hat.

Telescoping tube? There should be a seem about 4-6 inches from the peak, gently cut the tape there and it should slide right off.

soak the tube in water, thus making it a lot easier to peel open
